Ken Block's career in rallies started in 2005. He rapidly shown his talent and mastery of the vehicle, and Block was duly named Rookie of the Year for the Rally America Championship that year. Since that time, Block has continued to compete in the series, collecting multiple overall victories and countless podium finishes. Since the beginning of his career, he has also won five X Games medals, the most recent of which was silver at the 2013 Global X Games Barcelona RallyCross. Along with his racing prowess, Block has contributed significantly to educating Americans about the rally sport.
Through the immensely popular and popular Gymkhana series of videos, Block's sharp branding and marketing skills, along with his abilities and capabilities behind the wheel, have also helped him to earn international fame as a rally driver. Block has been exposed to viewers all over the world thanks to his Gymkhana videos, which collectively have had over 250 million views (including all accompanying edits). The franchise has also won a number of accolades, including inclusion in Ad Age's top 10 viral video charts and the One Show Interactive Gold Pencil Award for Outstanding Advertising Campaign in the category of Online Films & Video/Long Form - Single.
