Kerala - A Heaven On Earth

There are lot more to say about Kerala as a state, its beauty, the scenery, the blissful nature and pilgrimages. You would never feel to return once you plan to visit there.

Being a Keralite, my heart always stays there, even though I come back to Mumbai from my native place! Every two months of my summer vacations are spent well at my native place in Kerala, visiting few tourist spots, religious places and beaches as well.

Kerala is also blessed with a coastal belt rich with minerals and pure sand, which makes anyone want to visit there atleast once! The backwaters and lagoons located in Alappuzha district are one of the most visited place in this state.

Their cuisine is what one must definitely try out while visiting Kerala! You get a lot of variety in their foods, some of them are "Puttu Kadala" (steam cooked rice with chickpeas curry), "Sadhya" (a dish containing various food items - normally served in special occasions), various fish curries, beef curries and even more.

The residents there too are kind and loving as well. They respectfully accept their guests into their homes and treat them hospitably. Thus, it is indeed the reason why Kerala is known as ~ "GOD'S OWN COUNTRY".
