Kerala and Delhi skateboarders dominated the 61st National Skating Championship held at Chandigarh
The newly constructed skate park at Sector 17 served as the battleground where the skateboarders from across the country, starting from Ladakh to Kerala and from Arunachal Pradesh to Gujarat, showcased their prowess.
In a remarkable show of talent, Kerala and Delhi collectively seized a lion's share of the medals, securing an impressive 12 out of the 24 gold medals at stake. Notably, in the girls' category, Kerala skateboarders emerged as the standout performers, clinching four gold, two silver, and one bronze medal, cementing their position as the foremost medal achievers among the female participants. On the other hand, Delhi's girls contributed significantly with two gold, five silver, and four bronze medals, showcasing their remarkable skill set on the skateboarding ramps.
In the boys' category, Delhi skateboarders took center stage, showcasing an exceptional display by securing half of the 36 medals up for grabs. With a dominant performance, they claimed four gold, six silver, and eight bronze medals, asserting their dominance in the sport.
