Kim Tae Ri, Stray Kids, and More Triumph at the 51st Korean Broadcasting Awards
The 51st Korean Broadcasting Awards ceremony took place on September 2 at the KBS TV Open Hall in Seoul, where the winners were officially announced. The event featured congratulatory performances by STAYC, ZEROBASEONE, Lee Eun Mi, and HYB.
Kim Tae Ri received the Best Actor award for her performance in “Revenant.” In her acceptance speech, she remarked, “It’s been a year since ‘Revenant’ aired. Despite ‘Revenant’ being a terrifying, spine-chilling occult thriller, I was surprised to see that viewers left comments after the show ended saying, ‘I gained the strength to keep going.’”
She added, “The characters in dramas always seem to pose some kind of question about how to live. The character I played, San Young, is someone who stands up again despite everything. I’m deeply grateful to the director and writer who created such a character and for the opportunity to portray her.”
Kim Tae Ri concluded by saying, “As this hot summer comes to an end, I firmly believe that a cool and refreshing breeze will come to those who carry the burdens of life, which at times can feel too heavy. Thank you for this award. Stay strong, everyone.”
The winners in the drama and variety show categories are as follows:
Best Drama: MBC’s “My Dearest,” SBS’s “Revenant”
