Brazil faced South Korea in the first knockout round of the FIFA World Cup. Knowing a win would propel the Samba boys to the quarterfinals, Neymar was also back in the starting lineup after missing the group stages. South Korea, on the other hand, were flying high after they defeated Portugal (2-1) and drew with Uruguay.
Brazil used a 4-2-3-1 formation with Neymar returning to the starting lineup, while the rest of the lineup remained unchanged. South Korea went with a 4-4-2 formation.
Brazil dashed the dreams of the Koreans by scoring four goals against them. Neymar scored on his return; Vini Jr, Richarlison and Lucas Paqueta also contributed to the demolition job.
The stadium was lively with Samba fans making sure they were heard by beating drums, dancing, and frolicking, while Brazil enjoyed themselves while toying with a team that had progressed at the expense of Ghana and Uruguay and had beaten Portugal.
