Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 2 new Amrit Bharat express trains today in addition to dedicating more Vande Bharat Express trains to the country.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared that these trains utilise push-pull technology to maintain consistent speeds during travel.
Amrit Bharat is an all new train being inducted into the Indian Railways keeping in mind the comforts and travel needs of the common man.
Amrit Bharat trains will be non air conditioned with second class unreserved coaches and sleeper coaches. These trains will run on a push-pull technology with 130 kmph speed potential. They will have a 6000 WAP5 locomotive attached on each side.
Amrit Bharat has a capacity of 1,800 passengers and has 22 coaches. There will be 12 Second Class Tier 3 Sleepers. The express will have eight general compartments. and two guard compartments. Amrit Bharat trains manufactured at the Chennai Integral Coach Factory boasts excellent safety facilities.
