After the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 21 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that it is the last phase of his career and will be making his final appearance in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Devon Conway hit an unbeaten 57-ball century and added 87 runs to an opening-wicket stand with Ruturaj Gaikwad (35) as CSK chased down the required 135 runs with eight balls remaining.
After CSK won the match, during the post-match presentation, Dhoni said, “Whatever is said and done, this is the last phase of my career. However long I play, it’s very important to enjoy it. The IPL, after two years it’s been the case where (spectators) can come and enjoy the game, it’s a full house. It feels good to play here. We haven’t played in Chennai a lot, we’ve only played around six seasons. It feels good to be here, we’re always given a lot of love and affection,” reported media.
“I’m not getting too many chances to bat, but I’m not complaining. The guys are doing a fantastic job, but it feels good to be here,” he added.
