Ramanbhai B.Patel was a chemist who , along with school friend Indravadan A Modi , Founded a pharmaceutical company , Cadila Laboratories Ltd in 1952 . Cadila is listed on both the BSE and the NSE and is amongst India's most respected companies. Cadila Laboratories produced and marketed Isopar, a formulation of the tuberculosis drugs Isoniazid and Para-amino salicylic acid, in 1957, and Neurexin-12, a single-vial mixture of vitamin B1, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12, in 1959. In 1973, the firm developed process technology to make the anti-diabetic drug Glibenclamide. And in 1977, launched Dexona-20, a concentrated form of the anti-inflammatory drug dexamethasone. These are low-priced drugs that are widely available to the people of the country.
