The Goa GSB Sports & Charitable Trust announced the launch of the Late Uttam Sinai Hodarkar Medical Equipment Bank, an initiative aimed at providing essential medical and orthopedic equipment such as medical beds, oxygen concentrators, wheelchairs, and more to needy individuals across all communities. The bank will be operational from January 1, 2025. Details about accessing the facility and contact information will be shared by the trust in due course.
The chief guest Dr Satish Kudchadkar praised the trust for its commendable initiative in establishing such a medical equipment bank to serve the community. Chirag Naik extended his gratitude to Pinty Hodarkar for sponsoring the project and highlighted its significance. In his speech, he likened the local support for the initiative to the legacy of Balasaheb Thackeray, urging the people of Curchorem to view this project with similar reverence.
Goa Saraswat Samaj President Desh Prabhudessai emphasized the importance of ensuring that the equipment reaches the truly deserving, enabling the bank to fulfill its purpose effectively.
Goa GSB Sports and Charitable Trust President, Siddhit Pai Raiturker expressed the trust’s commitment to organizing more charitable initiatives in the future to benefit all communities. Siddharth Ghanekar provided an overview of the medical equipment bank and its objectives, while Venkat Biche delivered the vote of thanks.
The above bank is sponsored by Curchorem Councillor and Ex Chairperson of Cacora- Curchorem municipal council Mr Balkrishna ( Pinty) Hodarkar in memory of his late Father.
This initiative marks a significant step toward supporting those in need and promoting community welfare.
