Sour cream is not hung curd & it is very easy to make it. You just need 3 ingredients to make it perfectly.
Ingredients;
- 200 g Fresh Cream
- 2 tbsp Dahi
- Salt
Steps to follow;
1 The process for making sour cream is the same as that for make dahi just with dahi. Just bring cream to a boil & cool it until it is bearable to touch with a finger.
2 Add the starter dahi to this & now we got to leave it aside at room temperature to set. This takes longer to set than dahi.
Some tips;
- Do not add starter when the cream is super hot. Insert your finger and first touch the cream, your finger should be able to bear the heat.
- Let the sour cream chill for atleast 4 hours before using it.
