While having a bunch of diet rules may make you feel like you are 'in control' and
'being good' with your food,
- Food rules can be quite tiring to follow
- They make you obsessed with food
- They make you less flexible with food
Having so many rules around eating also means you are going to be overwhelmed with guilt if you do end up 'breaking' a rule. Think about all the times you wanted to say yes to something but had to say no to it because you were afraid of what would happen if you did not follow the rule! Wouldn't life look a lot better without some silly food rules dictating what you can or cannot eat?
