Former Spanish and Barcelona coach Luis Enrique could now be close to joining the London based club, Chelsea as per reports his name has been coming out many times alongside Julian Nagelsmann after Graham Potter was sacked by the club two days ago. Media outlet The Sun has also claimed that Luis Enrique is the main target for the Blues search for a new manager.

The whole football world is a fan of Luis Enrique’s 2015 season with Barcelona when he achieved everything a manager can win in a season and after leaving the Catalan club, he has not been in a club manager position and he has expressed his interest in managing a Premier League if he finds any good project.

The Blues’ fans also feel that he might be the man to carry forward this Stamford Bridge hierarchy. For now, Bruno Saltor will serve as the interim manager and he will have a great task in his hands when his side face Liverpool in the Premier League tonight. Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that Chelsea are interested in appointing Enrique as their gaffer and only time will tell if he will be the man on the Chelsea’s side-lines for the Blues visit to Santiago Bernabeau for their quarter-final matchup at the UEFA Champions League.

He already has won several trophies in his career as a manager including the two La Liga titles and one Champions League crown. At the international level, he has taken Spain to new heights as Spain ended up semi-finalists at the Euro 2020 but after being eliminated by Morocco in the round of 16 stage at the recent FIFA World Cup, he was sacked. Anoither coach that Chelsea has been hugely linked with is Julian Nagelsmann, who is also out of work since leaving Bayern Munich last month.
