A man from Maharashtra’s Yavatmal has been arrested for stabbing his wife, father-in-law, and two of her brothers-in-law to death over suspicion of adultery.
Police said the accused, Govind Pawar, allegedly stabbed his wife, Rekha Govind Pawar, father-in-law Pandit Ghosle, and brothers-in-law Gyaneshwar Ghosle and Sunil Ghosle to death at Kalamb on Tuesday night over infidelity suspicion.
Pawar’s mother-in-law Rukhma Ghosle also suffered serious injuries in the attack, police added.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Yavatmal Pawan Bansod said Govind Pawar was tracked and arrested by Kalamb police.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations and the police were investigating the matter. The accused will be produced in court soon.
