Mahasu Temple

Located at the Tiuni Morri road at Hanol this temple was built in the ninth century. Dedicated to Lord Mahasu, the chief deity if that area. Legend has it that one farmer went all the way to Kashmir to pray for his wish and it was told him as a form of prophecy that when striking this particular place a lord will appear which will protect his land. Thus was the origin of the Mahasu temple.
