Today is a very interesting match, the 16th Match of the the World Cup 2023 season between New Zealand and Afghanistan at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

It's is the fourth ODI World Cup match of the 2023 season for both the teams, and New Zealand have maintained quite a winning streak.

New Zealand has already made a hat-trick by continously winning all the 3 matches at the ICC World Cup 2023 season.

Whereas for team Afghanistan it was an element of surprise after it defeated England, the defending Champions in the last match with 69 runs.

Today, Afghanistan will look into making into second victory at the World Cup 2023 Championship and New Zealand will try to maintain its winning streak.

Afghanistan have won the toss and decided to bowl first.

After winning the toss, Afghanistan Captain, Hashmatullah Shahidi said, "We want to bowl first. There is the dew factor in the second half. We will look to restrict them to a low score. We had the celebration for that night (ENG vs AFG) but now it’s gone. We are going with the same team."

Whereas New Zealand Captain, Tom Latham said,"Either way, wasn’t sure what to do. Looks like a good surface. Batting first will be good for us. Will Young comes in for Williamson. Adapting to every ground, every team, and every surface is important."
