The 10th season of the MCC Members Cricket League witnessed an exciting match on Saturday morning, where MCC Masters secured a victory over MCC Stallions by 3 wickets, with 29 balls to spare. After winning the toss, MCC Masters elected to bowl first and successfully restricted the Stallions to a total of 110 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Nikhil Virjinkar was the top scorer for the Stallions with 30 runs, followed by Kapil Sinai Borker’s 27 runs. The standout bowler for the Masters was Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar, who delivered a remarkable spell, taking 3 wickets for just 16 runs. Angad Painginkar contributed with 1 wicket for 14 runs, while Dr. Satyesh Kamat added 1 wicket for 24 runs.
In pursuit of the modest target, MCC Masters reached the score comfortably. Anup Kudchadkar set the tone with an aggressive 36 runs off 15 balls, featuring 4 fours and 3 sixes. Vikrant Prabhu anchored the innings with an unbeaten 32 runs, supported by Dr. Satyesh Kamat’s 16-run contribution. The second match of the day and third match of the season featured a thrilling contest between MCC Warriors and MCC Tigers. The Tigers, who opted to bat first after winning the toss, posted a competitive total of 148 runs for 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Nikit Naik Dalal led the Tigers’ innings with a top score of 37 runs, while Smit Dalvi and Vedant Naik contributed 23 runs each. The Warriors conceded 34 extras in their bowling effort. Dr. Rohan Badve impressed with 2 wickets for 23 runs, with Dr. Sunny and Abhishek Goyal taking 1 wicket apiece.
Chasing 149 runs, MCC Warriors secured victory with 5 balls to spare, losing 6 wickets in the process. Govind Lotlikar’s vital knock of 38 runs off 31 balls, including 6 boundaries, was instrumental in the successful chase. Vrushabh Kuncoliencar (25), Sidhit Raiturkar (24), and Dr. Sunny (21) provided valuable runs to keep the momentum in favor of the Warriors.
