This is such lazy journalism.

Did any news outlet scrutinize Truss's economic plan before she won? Did the famously fiesty British press warn the public that her policies were a recipe for disaster?

The news business has no intellectual honesty, rigour or sense of purpose. It is all about populism and profits.

Media bigwigs should hang their collective heads in shame. There needs to be some serious soul searching and course correction.

What are the odds of that happening though?
