In a horrific accident, personnel of a Guwahati-based media organisation was attacked by a group of miscreants on Monday, April 24, at around 3 AM.

As per reports, the incident took place near the Silver Square building at GS Road in Guwahati where three miscreants in an inebriated state attacked the media personnel.

The media personnel has been identified as Bimal Das.

Das was returning after covering a Bihu event in the city when the group followed and attacked him, as per reports.

As per the information received, Das has received injuries and is being treated for the same.

The police were informed about the incident, but by the time they reached, the group had fled the scene.

A case has been registered at the Dispur Police Station and the vehicle which was used by the miscreants has been seized.

Dispur OC while talking to G Plus said, “We got the information that Das was attacked by a group of miscreants, but by the time we reached the group had fled the scene leaving their vehicle behind which has been seized by us. A search operation is on and we hope to catch them very soon.”
