The first time I visited Ferrari World was almost a decade ago. It was such a rush for us all. Growing up in the 90s, the one person that every kid associated with Formula 1 was always Michael Schumacher. He is a legend that was known for always winning and hence started our family ritual of rooting for Ferrari and their bright red cars.
Today, there are many drivers in the F1 space that are popular due to their skills and even shows like Drive to Survive that have extensively covered the Grand Prix.
Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi was launched in 2010 and gained traction worldwide due to its rollercoaster. It is said to have the fastest rollercoaster in the world. In 2013, the movie Rush on the life of Ferrari driver Niki Lauda was also released and this was around the time we visited the amusement park for the first time on holiday.
The exhibits on the drivers in terms of track record and some old models of the cars was so fascinating to see and then the experience of actually going on the rollercoaster was a rush as well. It did take a lot of waiting in line for our turn but the ride gets over even before you have processed you are on it. It is truly that fast.
Now, there is a lot more in and around Ferrari World that has been established like Yas Waterworld for example, which is also an amusement park for water theme sports and has a lot of activities for families as well.
If you are a Ferrari fan and Abu Dhabi is not too far from where you live, you should check it out. It is not the best theme park in the world but the roller coaster is a true experience!
