I wish everyone a very happy World Health Day. I truly endorse the theme this year which is "Building a fairer, healthier world for everyone." How valuable it's importance of ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare services for everyone, regardless of their social or economic status.
As a psychologist I must emphasize that mental and emotional health is an integral part of overall holistic health well-being. It encompasses our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and impacts how we perceive ourselves and the world around us. As per me Good mental and emotional health is essential for leading a happy, fulfilling life and is critical to maintaining good physical health . Thus taking care of it requires intentional effort, including seeking support when needed. Infact practicing self-care leading to self love and accepting ourselves with our fallacies as no one is perfect and that no two fingers on our hand are the same and each finger has its own important role is worthy of us being cognizant
Alongside engaging in activities that promote well-being is a must
I thoroughly recommend activities that build up our endorphins such as exercise, and meditation and remember never to compromise on a gud quality sleep and balanced nutrition with optimal hydration
Work life balance is integral in these times of hustle culture. While we need certain amount of stress to spur us on and help us perform our best, the key to managing stress lies in that one magic word: balance.Achieving a healthy work life balance is an attainable goal but workers and businesses alike see the rewards. When workers are balanced and happy, they are more productive, take fewer sick days, and are more likely to stay in their jobs.
Equally important is building and sustaining meaningful relationships and spending time with loved ones. Pursuing hobbies or interests that bring us joy.
Unconditional giving tops the chart of my suggestions as it truly leads to more contentment and satisfaction in our lives than being at the receiving end
I urge you all to prioritise your mental and emotional health and seek support when needed, to lead happier, healthier lives and better cope with life's challenges.
