The state of Missouri recently won a big lawsuit against a law that requires voters to present an ID to vote.
I just can't wrap my head around the absurdity of these lawsuits. Asking people to prove that they are eligible to vote is the most basic requirement to vote.
The fact is that, both in America and around the world, it has never been the case that you simply needed to be a citizen to vote. You always, in some way, had to prove your citizenship. There are always extra steps. Every single voter, for example, has to register to vote, and that's an extra step that every single person has to take to vote. If you can do that, then you can get an ID.
And honestly, let’s be real here. In America, if you really want to get an ID, you can figure it out very easily. It literally takes one phone call or one Google search. I’m serious. If you don’t have an ID and you want one, just Google it, call the board of elections, ask your neighbor, it’s not complicated at all.
It is so easy that if you really can’t figure it out then you’re not trying.
You see, it’s not the people who can’t get IDs who are complaining about not being able to get IDs, because if you can’t figure out how to get an ID, then you can’t figure out how to complain. See, because the people who you would complain to would be able to help you get an ID.
It’s the liberal activist groups who want illegals to vote that are complaining about these mythical people who don’t know how to use the internet, who don’t know how to use a phone, or who don’t have any people in their lives that they communicate with.
It’s that simple. What is going on with this world?
