Russia has banned the entry of 54 British journalists, media figures and politicians.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that this action is a response to the extensive British sanctions, the spread of false information against Moscow and the British military support for Ukraine.
In this list of 54 people, there are five managers and journalists of the Guardian newspaper, as well as the British ministers of defense and culture.
A number of senior British journalists working for the BBC and the Daily Telegraph have also been banned from entering Russia.
In response to this issue, the spokesperson of the Guardian newspaper said: "The Russian government, by banning Guardian journalists and managers, simply shows its disregard for a free and fair press."
Moscow has already banned dozens of senior journalists and directors of British media organizations.
