Initially when the first case of Covid 19 was reported none of us thought it would spread like a forest fire that would reach a state where things will affect our lives. We all believed all these will get over with 3-4 months and we will get back to our lives soon. But things didn’t go as majority of us thought its been a year and still the cases of reporting are still active. At first, we all might have checked each and every days Covid cases that were being reported but then gradually we started accepting the numbers being reported, then we lost our interest in checking the updates of it when the news and the major topic of discussion was this disease. But we all were hopeful and looked forward to more updates when the vaccines were accessible to the public.
I was about to write my semester exams before the lockdown was declared. But when it got declared the main thing that came into my mind was, we got more time and so we can utilize it for studies. Got a good thorough revision and waited for the lockdown to get lifted but it goes extended. I had more of a family time.
It was not much of happy moments as we had a very difficult time. My uncle was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his brain the December before corona came. By June he became weaker and started losing his memories and spoke about things which didn’t relate. But his doctor was confident that he would recover from it, because before whenever he went low there was a recovery but this time it got worse, he became bed ridden and later in October he left us, none of us still cannot believe and haven’t accepted it.
I still feel when I’m at his home that he’s in his room there lying on the bed. He was one of the best person’s I have ever seen in my life, there were many things to learn from him, his confidence level was something I was stunned of, and always I think about him tears just flows.
