The late Ahmad Zahir is my favorite Afghan singer, he was an exceptional singer, composer and songwriter  with a beautiful voice and enormous talents, he is really popular in all times and his songs are being listened to this day. According to an old abbreviation even if his soul is not here he is alive in everyone's heart. In every singing game among Afghans, Ahmad Zahir is remembered every single time. Even though he had composed little of the songs he has sung, he still has the voice of an angle. Every generation whether be it young, old, or children, they know and remember him. He is one of the representatives of Afghan music. He was also one of the firsts to sing by mixing modern music(jazz) and classic music (tabla, sitar, Dambura), he brought many different genres and became a big star. Ahmad Zahir recorded at least 14 studio albums before his abrupt death.  His death was a big tragedy to each and every person in the country but, with his death, his songs did not die. His music is alive in everyone's heart in each corner of the world, he is still adored and heard by many. He had crossed boundaries and was widely popular in Central Asia and even Russia.

He was a bright soul, May his soul rest in peace.
