My favourite Afghan celebrity is late singer Ahmad Zahir, he was widely considered the all-time greatest singer of Afghanistan.

Ahmad Zahir was the country's first pop superstar, electrifying audiences with lyrics rooted in Persian poetry and music styles that ranged from folkloric Afghan to Western rock and Indian classical. He is my favourite Afghan celebrity because I personally relate to the lyrics of his songs and when I hear his voice, it's just so peaceful to me. The rhythm and lyrics is just amazing and all I could say is that we need more talented Artists like him in today's generation because the words he used in every of his songs are so meaningful, soulful and he says about poverty and justice so a lot of people relate to that too, including me. Although I'm not from his generation but there is a feeling in his words and voice which I really can understand and relate a lot to it. He left the world at such a young age I wish he was alive now so I could hear more to his beautiful voice and new songs but may his soul rest in eternal peace.
