My husband is in indian Amry. Army life is away from family, mostly stationed in the back of beyond in wilderness. We are married for 25 years. He was 21 and I was 18. I have 3 kids. Initial years were difficult. We would not be I touch for months .
We live without mobile phone . When my kids were little, we would write each other letters and I would send my kids photos regularly. He has missed seeing our children grow. Missed so many wedding and family functions.

But today with technology and Video calling I can see his face and feels like he is with us. He couldn’t get leave for my daughter engagement but we video called him and he watch the entire ritual. He also saw our grandson for the 1st time on video call. He will be retired in couple of years and come live with the family again.
I am looking forward to that time.
