You're beautiful!
Lovely post
Thankyou so much❤️
Couldn't agree more.. and its apply to everyone, all gender. 👍
Body shaming really starts at home! It can be unintentional, and sure they didn’t to make me feel sad. But guess what? They really did.
An year back I gained a lot of kgs. Even after being the youngest in my house, I was called the “badi Beti”, oh it had nothing to do with the way I acted but because I was bigger in size. The fact that people found me ‘cute’ and not beautiful really affected me so much that I decided to loose those extra kilos. Just so that I can fit in there set image of ‘beautiful’.
How silly of me to believe that loosing weight will make people think that I’m beautiful. Well, it was quite the opposite. Now when I worked so hard to achieve a weight which makes me happy, which makes me feel my best self is still not appreciated.
I’m now ‘too slim’, ‘too weak’ and ‘too thin’ for them. From being called ‘badi beti’ to ’you look so malnourished’ I’ve heard it all. And the only thing I now know is that nothing, absolutely nothing will satisfy the society. Too fat, too skin, too dark, too pale. The society will ALWAYS complain. So much that it doesn’t bother me anymore. As long as you are happy, don’t let anyone’s opinions about you define who you really are.
