I am a 20 year old Mumbai girl, who loves nature. I feel while there is no perfect age to travel, I think u can appreciate it more in your single in your 20s. There is so much to see in the world, once the epidemic is over take advantage of your age and put on those travel boots .
Till then let me take you on a tour of places I have seen and I love.
Since I am a native of Karnataka, let’s start from down South .
Mysore, previously known as Mysuru, is the third largest and second most populated city of Karnataka. It is famous for many things, the most important being it’s pre independence history. Tipu sultan, the Vadiyar dynasty, the great battles that were fought. So let’s go on a virtual tour.
1. Mysore Palace
The Mysore Palace is a historical palace and the royal residence(house) at Mysore in the Indian State of Karnataka. It is the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore.
2. Srikanteshwara Temple In Nanjangud, Mysore – An Architectural Journey Through Time The Srikanteshwara Temple In Nanjangud isn’t just a Hindu pilgrimage destination, it’s equally revered for its architecture and Saiva sculptures.
3. Chamundi Hills – Of Scenic Beauty and Lore
Chamundi Hills, is a must visit when in Mysore, Goddess Chamundeshwari temple, Nandi, Mahishasura statue are the important deities on the hill.
4. Sati Stone And Nandi Idols Of Arasinakere In Mysuru
Giant face to face idols of Nandi (sacred bull) and a Sati stone has been found at Arasinakere in Jayapura Hobli of Mysuru Taluk.
5. The Chamundeshwari Celebrity Wax Museum, Mysore: The First Celebrity Wax Museum In Karnataka.
Mysore has recently got its first celebrity wax museum, the Chamundeshwari Celebrity Wax Museum, which also happens to be the first one in the state of Karnataka.
