National Cancer Awareness Day is observed on 7th November to coincide with the birth anniversary of the Novel-prize winning scientist Madame Curie.
Curie is remembered for her discovery of radium and polonium, and her huge contribution to the fight against cancer.
Awareness is all about understanding and recognising the inequities in cancer care around the globe.
And help reduce stigma; to listen to the perspectives of the people living with cancer and their communities and let those lived experiences guide our thoughts and actions.
