Netherlands clinch thriller to progress

Netherlands came back from behind to pick up a 2-1 victory over Turkey and progress into the semifinals on Euro 2024, where they will be taking England on.

Turkey started well and took the lead through a header from Samet Akaydin, assisted by the wonderful young Arda Guler who even brushed the post with a freekick.

However the Dutch increased the pressure as the match went on and it paid off. Stefan De Vrij headed in after a corner in the 70th minute to equalise and Ronald Koeman's side won soon after thanks to an own goal from Mert Muldur.
