Look, I've never been a fan of newspapers supporting candidates, even if it’s the editorial boards.
It's just not right. It calls into question the veracity of the media company's reporting. Can you trust that a newspaper is telling the truth and reporting on stories accurately, without bias, if they're doing something like the New York Times, where they posted a full page of large text that said, quote, “Donald Trump says he will prosecute his enemies, order mass deportations, use soldiers against citizens, abandon allies, play politics with disasters. Believe him?”
Even if it is the editorial board, doesn't that call into question the organization of the opinion section relative to their bias and the opinions that they publish?
If you're somebody who's cancelling a newspaper subscription because your newspaper editorial board isn't endorsing a candidate, then you should seriously re-evaluate what you actually think the role of media is — and perhaps cease complaining when the media seems more biased towards the party you don’t support. Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, concluded his highly-anticipated New York City Madison Square Garden rally with a packed crowd of over 40,000 attendees.
