Cysts are non-cancerous, fluid-filled sacs that develop on an ovary.
Causes of ovarian cysts include;
+ Hormonal imbalances
+ Severe pelvic infection
+ Endometriosis
+ Pregnancy, amongst others
Oftentimes, they don't cause any symptoms. However, if the cyst grows you may notice:-
+ Abdominal bloating or swelling
+ Painful bowel movements
+ Extreme pelvic pain before or during the menstrual cycle
+ Painful intercourse
+ Profuse menstrual bleeding
