According to Prince Harry, he persuaded his wife Meghan Markle not to take a picture in front of the Taj Mahal while she was visiting India in order to dispel rumours that she was copying his mother.
The disclosure was revealed by the Duke of Sussex in his freshly published book, Spare, according to Daily Mail.
As per reports, the memoir claims that Meghan Markle travelled to India in 2017 with the nonprofit organisation World Vision to promote girls' education and menstruation health. Diana, the mother of Prince Harry, visited the Taj Mahal in 1992 and posed for photos while alone at the structure.
“Do not take a photo in front of the Taj Mahal. She'd asked why and I'd said: My mum,' Prince Harry wrote in the book.
“'I'd explained that my mother had posed for a photo there, and it had become iconic, and I didn't want anyone thinking Meg was trying to mimic my mother. Meg had never heard of this photo and found the whole thing baffling, and I loved her for being baffled,” the Duke of Sussex wrote.
