The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for a heatwave in the national capital, indicating that the city will face intense heat in the coming day.
The IMD has forecasted the maximum temperature to reach up to 45 degrees celsius today. While metro cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai are enjoying relief from the heat as the monsoon arrives in their respective states, Delhi must wait a few more months before expecting similar relief.
As per reports, the temperature will rise up to 45 degrees celsius today, and a low of 29 degrees celsius. The winds will blow from west at 12 km/h in morning, from west-northwest at 24 km/h in afternoon and 20 km/h in evening. Partly cloudy sky with heatwave conditions at many places. Strong surface wind at the speed of 25-35 km/h occasionally in gusty during the day.
