Omar Abdullah, former chief minister and vice president of the National Conference, participated in Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra at the Banihal area in the Ramban district on Friday.

A number of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) leaders are currently waiting to join the Yatra in Qazigund.

According to reports, vice president Raman Bhalla and former JKPCC president Ghulam Ahmad Mir are among the officials taking part in the Yatra in Qazigund.

The yatra would resume from Banihal this morning and travel via the Vessu area of Anantnag before entering Kashmir today.
