On the lines of Tirupati Balaji, Ayodhya Hanumangarhi laddu has been  included in GI product. Varanasi's  GI expert Padam Shree, Dr. Rajnikanth has applied to include Hanumangarhi Laddu in the GI tag.  This application was accepted on Monday.  In the coming few months, this laddu will be included in the intellectual property and there will be demand for this laddu at the international level.The GI application document of Ayodhya Hanumangarhi Laddu was prepared with the financial support of SIDBI-Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and the technical support of the entire team of Human Welfare Association.  In this, Halwai Kalyan Samiti Ayodhya joined as applicant and with full preparation was sent to GI Registry Chennai.  This application has been accepted.  This has been registered in application number 1168.

By getting GI tag, this laddu will be included in the intellectual property of India.  The confectionary community of Ayodhya will benefit from this.  The government will help in improving the quality, promotion, packaging and sending of this laddu internationally to benefit the local producers.
