What do you think we all are? We all are a strong generation because we live in the pandemic and somehow find our own happiness despite all the things happening.
A year ago I was at home when the first Corona case was reported. I didn't have a shock and I did not take it seriously. This is because Kerala was a state that experienced flooding two times in consecutive years and then an outbreak of Nipah Virus in between. We were already given a slight preview of what our lives would be in the next few years when the Nipah outbreak happened. We all survived ever disaster and hence I was sure this would also be controlled. And yes, Kerala was good at controlling at the first stage but it had a increase in the graph. Even at the first stage of lockdown, I wasn't surprised when all the people around me was in utter despair; was the only person who told this will end in 2 months. The months went on, in between I wrote two exams, baked cakes(we all have), made Dalgona coffee, learned cooking, attended online classes and exams. I never went out and followed all the protocols for six months, then I started getting out since it was my brothers marriage. We went for shopping and since we followed all the protocols, we hadn't faced any issue.
Now slowly Iam adjusting with the new normal, I often feel like something is missing while I forget to put my mask and suddenly gets it. It has become a part of my life. I don't know how many of you wear mask still while going out, I do and I am proud of it. Even though the vaccine is here, it doesn't give you the license to not use the mask. New normal isn't great but we could live with it.
