OnePlus has confirmed the arrival of its highly anticipated flagship, the OnePlus 12, in China on December 5, correcting a previous report of December 4. Teaser campaigns are already in full swing, and pre-orders have commenced ahead of the launch. Unlike some competitors, OnePlus has unveiled the phone's design, promising a visually striking device.
Described as an evolution of the well-received OnePlus 11, the OnePlus 12 features purposeful refinements, with the most notable being the relocation of the alert slider from the right to the left side. OnePlus claims this adjustment enhances the gaming antenna signal by 3dB and reduces game latency by 15 percent.
The phone will be available in three shades: matte black, glossy white, and a possibly standout green with a 3D depth effect, referred to as "flowy emerald." Internally, the OnePlus 12 boasts Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a 2K LTPO OLED display from BOE, and impressive camera capabilities, including a custom Sony LYTIA dual-layer stacked CMOS primary sensor and a 64-megapixel periscope zoom camera with Hasselblad tuning.
While the grand debut is in China, global availability details are yet to be announced. Stay tuned for updates as the OnePlus 12 promises to make a significant impact in the smartphone market.
