Apni Party Provincial President Jammu Manjit Singh today condemned the political parties who are raking up the issue of Art 370 for their political gains even as these politicians had given their silent approval to its revocation.
They are again out holding public rallies in an attempt to mislead the innocent people, he said.
Addressing a provincial level meeting of district presidents at Gandhi Nagar office, Manjit Singh said that took on the political parties who are trying to create a division among the people of two regions with their repeated rhetoric about the restoration of special status in J&K.
“It is known to everyone that they had given silent approval for the revocation of Art 370 and uttered not even a single word when it was revoked. The Member Parliament of these political parties were mute when the country witnessed revocation of special status and downgrading of historic Dogra State into a Union Territory,” he said.
He said that they were responsible for the injustice with the people of J&K and now pretending that they knew nothing about the special status.
“Their claims and utterances are only to mislead the people in Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban Districts. The BJP too has been exposed for its failure to take up developmental activities. The development is at snail pace in J&K and no one seems to be worried about it,” he said.
He further said that Apni Party believes that the people should be made aware about the factual situation and the role played by these political parties who speak something in Delhi and something else in J&K. Their double speech has invited troubles for the people.
“The political parties which used to speak about referendums compromised their ideology to become Chief Ministers. Similarly they also compromised on autonomy and self-rule and joined hands with BJP,” he said.
He urged upon the District Presidents, Coordinators, and Heads of different Wings to work among the people and make the people aware about the policies and programmes of Apni Party.
