Leading a delegation, Pakistan National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf arrived in Kabul on Saturday for talks with Islamic Emirate officials.
Inamullah Samangani, a deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, said that talks between the Pakistani delegation and Islamic Emirate officials had begun.
Pakistan's ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmad Khan said Moeed held a meeting with acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi to kick off the visit.
He said the delegation will meet with other officials to discuss various issues. “Will have multiple official meetings to strengthen humanitarian and economic engagement,” Khan said in a tweet.
NSA Yusuf had planned to visit Kabul at the head of a high-level delegation on January 18th, but his visit was canceled due to unknown reasons.
