"Parivartan: A Plantation Drive and a Home & Garden Exhibition," a four-day extravaganza that will take place from the 7th to the 10th of July at the Sector 17 Parade ground.
Planty Homes, known for their commitment to environmental sustainability and promoting green living, is all set to launch the first-ever app named Planty during the Parivartan event. This groundbreaking app aims to revolutionize the way people connect with nature by allowing users to conveniently order their favorite plants from their preferred nurseries with just a touch on their mobile screens. The first phase of the app will focus on doorstep plant delivery, making gardening accessible to everyone.
Over the course of four days, these enthusiastic young individuals will aim to plant a staggering 5000 plants, contributing to the greening of our beautiful city. To enhance their knowledge and passion for the environment, we have requested various government organizations such as PEDA (Punjab Energy Development Agency) and PWD (Public Works Department) to conduct informative workshops at the Sector 17 Parade ground.
"In our pursuit of a greener Chandigarh, we are proud to have the support of CRPF BN 13, who will be actively participating in the plantation drive," says Professor Sashi Malhotra, founder of Planty Homes.
Furthermore, the exhibition segment of Parivartan will be a visual treat for visitors. Spread across 100 stalls, the exhibition will showcase a wide range of categories including plants and nurseries, interior designing, landscape designing, alternative sources of energy, home decor, home furnishing, lighting, flooring, tiling, bath fittings, kitchen accessories, electrical home appliances, and many more.
In addition to the Parivartan event, that the Press Club is also in partnership with Parivartan, Chandigarh, to celebrate their Foundation Day. As part of this collaboration, three special events lined up. The first and the second one are the "Parivartan Tambola," a unique twist on the traditional game where winners will receive plants as prizes, promoting the concept of gifting nature. Secondly, a plantation drive will be conducted at the Press Club on the 9th of July, during which 50 fruit plants and 50 Ashoka trees will be planted, further expanding our green footprint.
