Today marks the beginning of Parliament Budget, and it will be the first time the President of India Droupadi Murmu addressed a joint session at the Parliament since assuming the office.

She is the second female heqd of the country after ex president Pratibha Patel.

Along with President's address on the first day of the budget and economic survey document is also being presented today.

The Economic Survey document, prepared by the Economic Division of the of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance and formulated under the supervision of the chief economic adviser V Anantha Nageswaran, will give insights into the state of the economy and various indicators in the current financial year 2022-23 (April-March) and outlook for the next year.

The Economy Survey may also give some idea about the tone and texture of the actual Budget for 2023-24, to be presented on February 1, 2023.

Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman will also table the annual pre-budget economic survey too, before presenting the Actual Budget in Lok Sabha.

The Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) Dr V Anantha Nageshwarn will also address a press conference unveiling the survey.
