A 10-year-old girl from Bihar was rescued with bruises, burn injuries, and lacerations on her arms after being employed as a domestic help by an IndiGo pilot, Poornima Bagchi, and her Vistara pilot husband, Kaushik Bagchi.

The girl's relatives noticed the abuse and reported it to the police.

The minor revealed she was regularly beaten for not following their instructions.

Both pilots have been arrested and derostered by their airlines.

The child's relatives claimed she was confined to the couple's house, and she revealed the traumatic experience to a counselor.

A case has been filed under IPC Sections 370, 323, 343, 324, along with Child Labour Act and Juvenile Justice Act.
