Wojciech Szczęsny is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Serie A club Juventus and the Poland national team.
A former Arsenal mainstay, the Polish keeper has been one of the top keepers in the world for the past decade.
Club Form-
Szczesny has been a rock in between the posts for Juventus for the past half a decade. Despite the turmoil at the club and the major rebuild in the past two years, the Pole has been a solid player for the Old Lady, having played 9 games in the Serie A this season, having kept 7 clean sheets in that time.
Despite the Italian giants having a torrid season so far, especially in the Champions League, Szczesny has been good for the side and many a times played a crucial role in stopping Juventus' season from going bad to worse.
International Form-
Szczesny has been a mainstay in the national team since his debut way back in 2009, having played for the u-20s and u-21s before.
Despite having another top keeper in West Ham star Łukasz Fabiański to rival being the Poland No.1, Szczesny has won more caps that his compatriot so far, having represented his nation 66 times.
Tournament Prediction-
Szczesny is expected to start in between the sticks for Poland in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Despite having a star sprinkled with established names, they are not expected to make a deep run in the tournament. However, you could still expect solid performances from him as he would look to lead the team to finally qualify for the knockout stages for the tournament.
