Officials and players of the Afghanistan national cricket team met with the foreign minister of the Taliban

Cricket Board Chairman Mirwais Ashraf and Captain Heshmatullah Shahidi along with the players of the Afghanistan National Cricket Team met with Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Motaghi. In this meeting, the head of the cricket board and the players of the national team thanked the Taliban for their financial support.

The Deputy Spokesperson of the Taliban Foreign Ministry wrote in a newsletter that Amir Khan Motaghi said during this meeting that cricket and other sports can create positive and close relations between people and systems in the region and the world.

The foreign minister of the Taliban asked the players to put commitment to Islamic interests, obedience to the organization, piety, Islamic ethics and patriotism in their practice and gain honor for Afghanistan.

Amir Khan Motaghi emphasized that the Taliban supports the players.
