In the first incoming bilateral State visit by a foreign leader after forming the third consecutive government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold discussions with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday in Delhi.
Ahead of the talks, PM Modi welcomed Hasina at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Hasina, who reached the Capital on Friday, is scheduled to call-on President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar.
A range of topics - defence, connectivity and infrastructure, power and energy cooperation, trade and economic partnership, development cooperation, river water-sharing and cultural ties will be the focus of the bilateral talk. A defence pact is expected and discussions on financial package, rail transit pact are also likely, according to sources.
