When I read the news of her death, I knew it was rumor and fake and like me many oncologists also knew it was fake, because cervical cancer takes decades to develop inside body and progress to cause death.
In most of the situations, a cervical cancer patient making reels and enjoying holidays does not die within 2 days and all of a sudden, until and unless she suffers from some unrelated acute problems. I rather believed on the other news that she died of drug addiction and overdose (more plausible).
I came to know she did it to increase awareness!! I am surprised to see her gross way of increasing awareness and insensitivity to death from cancer.
It's no fun. Let's be very very serious and condemn such cheap stunts to get publicity in name of cancer awareness. Thousands and millions of people are struggling and fighting this disease with grace, dignity and respect. Thousands of doctors, Healthcare workers and social workers are working tirelessly without making it a fun or cheap stunt.
A actress willing to increase cervical cancer awareness (which is common among sexually promiscuous people having multiple sex partners, history of unprotected sexual behavior, bad genital hygiene etc) is welcome sign.
Let's try to remember some basic facts on cervical cancer awareness:
1. HPV is most common causative agent
2. HPV vaccination at proper age can effectively prevent it
3. Safe sexual behavior should be practiced
4. Consultation with a gynecologist or oncologist can help in early detection and cure
I think, you can help spreading this message!
