There are certain things not everybody knows about me. One of my best and most proud moments in my badminton career is when I was the first one to defeat the renowned Syed Modi in 1987 in a tournament in Barely.
When somebody asks me today, who is it that inspired me the most in the field of badminton, I would say Prakash Padukone without any hesitation. I have always found him calm and composed on the field and has always maintained an artistic getup. In short, he has always been my dream guy in badminton and I would never say otherwise.
In 1988 ONGC offered me a job as Officer of Special Duty but in 1990, OIL (Oil India Limited) offered me a better opportunity as a Chief General Manager and I'm still continuing in the same post.
As former national champion I represented India in the All England Badminton, France Open, Thailand Open and Asian and World Badminton Championships. Again, I formerly the Joint Editor of Assam Badminton Association, has been the General Manager (Administrative) of Oil India Limited.
