The preparations for the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya began yesterday and the idol of Ram Lalla would be brought inside at the temple today.

There will be Jalayatra, Teertha Puja, Brahmin-Batuk-Kumari-Suvasini Puja, Vardhini Puja, Kalshayatra and tour of the idol of Lord Shri Ramlala in the Prasad premises.

Thousands of VIP guests have received invitations from the trust for the ceremony.

The main ceremony will be held at the grand temple on January 22 but the ceremonies have begun from January 16 and the idol will be placed in the sanctum sanctorum on January 18.

Over 7,000 people have been invited by the temple trust and they include cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. The city is getting decked up for the grand ceremony at the temple, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend.
