As both Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra in Mumbai, the actor, along with her pop star husband was papped visiting the residence of filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, with whom she has worked on films such as Don and Don 2.

Visuals from the meeting sparked rumours of their project Jee Le Zaraa getting back on track.

The road trip film starring Priyanka, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif was announced in 2021 but there has been virtually no update about its progress since then.

Priyanka, who landed in Mumbai last week for a brand event, was photographed by the paparazzi at Farhan's house. She was accompanied by Nick. Together, they waved at the photographers, and Priyanka also greeted them with a namaste.

Also present at his house was Farhan's business partner Ritesh Sidhwani, of Excel Entertainment, further adding to the rumours that this could've been a meeting to streamline dates for Jee Le Zaraa, which Farhan had earlier said was the reason for the delay. Jee Le Zaraa was supposed to be his comeback to filmmaking, but now that it has been delayed, he will be making Ranveer Singh-starrer Don 3 first.

In an interview with Variety, Farhan had said, "We just have issues with dates, and the actor's strike that's happened has put Priyanka's dates into a huge tizzy with what can happen and what can't, so I've started genuinely believing that that film now has a destiny of its own. It'll happen when it has to, we'll see."

Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani are gearing up for the release of their latest production, Madgaon Express. The comedy marks the direction debut of actor Kunal Kemmu. While Priyanka Chopra recently announced her next international project, The Bluff, in which she will play the role of a pirate.
